Lonestar Angel
"Lonestar Angel," by Colleen Coble, is the fourth installment in this series. Eden and Clay Larson;s marriage fell apart when their baby daughter was kidnapped. Eden Larson ran away from her former life and began to move on. Clay spent the next five years searching for their daughter, certain that she was still alive. After many dead ends, he receives a clue as to where she might be. Clay seeks out Eden and takes her to Bluebird Ranch in Texas to find their daughter and save their marriage. Colleen Coble has always written decent romances, including this one. There was great chemistry between the main characters and it was entertaining to see how the families from previous books were faring. However, the mystery in the novel left much to be desired. As with most of Coble's books, the romance is often marred when she attempts to delve into the suspense genre. The plot twists were hokey and the ending was unrealistic. This is the type of book to read as a time filler. Mildly entertaining and utterly forgettable.
